BMOA
ALTRIA KNOW YOUR MONEY
Secured NBA legend and businessman Earvin “Magic” Johnson as spokesperson for touring multi-city financial literacy program sponsored by Altria.  Partnered with young adult arm of local affiliates of the National Urban League.
BETTY SHABAZZ INTERNATIONAL CHARTER SCHOOLS
Created and implemented media relations and public relations strategies including successful crisis communications strategy to appeal the decision of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) to close one of its three Afrocentric-focused charter schools.  After months of public relations campaigning, the state charter school commission issued an unprecedented vote reversing CPS' decision.  Media outreach included community and mainstream traditional, social and online media.  Secured corporate sponsorships.
BUD BILLIKEN PARADE
Managed all front- to back-end engagement of the largest brands in the country’s second largest parade attracting a television viewing audience of millions and parade route of hundreds of thousands.  Activation included float concept & development, on-site management of float, and post-event activities in the park, and publicity.  Brands included: McDonald’s, National City, White Sox, and Lawry’s to name a few.
CHICAGO CENTER FOR ARTS & TECHNOLOGY (ChiCAT)
Managed ground breaking ceremony, including creation and distribution of event evite. Developed guest list of dignitaries, elected officials, funders and supporters.  Implemented publicity strategy.
CHICAGO POLICE ACCOUNTABILITY TASK FORCE (PATF)
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel created the Police Accountability Task Force with a primary mission to lay the foundation for the rejuvenation of trust between the police and the communities they serve by facing hard truths and creating a roadmap for real and lasting transparency, respectful engagement, accountability and change.  The PATF developed comprehensive findings with specific recommendations for change in the short, interim and long term in five important areas:

CHICAGO ELITE CLASSIC
The Chicago Elite Classic is an annual exhibition of high school boys' basketball talent hosted by two of the most prolific programs in the state, Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and Simeon Career Academy.  The event uses basketball to promote a non-violence message.  Secured corporate sponsorships and managed social media.
GET FIT WITH WALGREENS
Facilitated a partnership between Walgreens, CPS and food vendor Chartwells-Thompson Hospitality. Get Fit with Walgreens was designed to help manage the obesity crisis among urban youth by encouraging students to better understand proper nutrition and healthy eating choices. Although the program was initially targeted at African-American elementary students, the scope expanded to include Hispanic students in city and suburban public schools. Get Fit with Walgreens kicked off at a rally with players from the Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls and ABC7 sports anchor Jim Rose.
HONDA BATTLE OF THE BANDS
In order to fully engage key audiences, the 10th anniversary of the Honda Battle of the Bands went social, connecting with over 34,000 HBCU marching band fans.  Expanding the brand’s social media presence enabled a heightened and credible connection with key audiences across three of the biggest social networks: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
LITTLE ROCK NINE 
Provided pro bono serves to publicize the 50th anniversary of the Little Rock Nine and first major fundraising gala for the Little Rock Nine Foundation Scholarship Fund.  Web and print audience/circulation figure exceeds 1.7 billion inclusive of more than 6,000 television and some 2,200 print, Internet, radio and Web-TV placements.  Coverages include: USAToday, U.S. News & World Report, EBONY, Jet, The New York Times, the US Information Agency, CNN.com, The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic, The Los Angeles Times, Couric & Co., MSNBC, ABC.com, Black America Web, AOL.com and many, many more.  The event raised $750,000, surpassing the fundraising goal by nearly 70%.  An additional $101,000 was garnered in in-kind services.  Nine high school seniors each were awarded a $10,000 scholarship.
LUSTER PINK EMPOWERMENT TOUR
Empowering four-city event hosted by Luster Products, a leading African-American-owned manufacturer of hair care products, designed to help prepare African-American women for the workforce in Memphis, Detroit, Charlotte and Chicago.  Daylong event included an employment seminar and lunch, along with a hair, makeup and wardrobe sessions.  Co-sponsors were local National Urban League chapters in each host city, Sophisticate's Black Hair Styles and Care Guide magazine, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Healthy Images.
McDONALD’S - Black McDonald's Operators Association
Developed community engagement platform for the Black McDonald’s Operators Association (BMOA) of Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Orchestrated activations and product sampling at urban summertime festivals and key events.

WHITE SOX ALL-AMERICAN GREEK NIGHT
Created fun, summertime event to leverage the strong bond among African-American Greek letter organizations and their love for social gatherings.  Event drove ticket sales and broadened brand footprint among key young adult AACM segments, both collegiate and alum.
